This charming and modest home in Upper Marlboro is the perfect cozy spot for your stay. Your private room features a comfortable queen-sized bed. You’ll have shared access to your private bedroom and shared bathroom. Please note the kitchen and dining room are off limits while under renovation until July 2026. We’re located in a central spot close to PG Community College, University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center, D.C. and near public transport, making it easy to get around. This is a simple, comfortable space that offers a homey atmosphere for your visit.

Guests only have access to bedroom. *No Visitors Allowed: Only guests who are on the reservation are permitted in the home. There’s an additional guest fee of $10 per extra person on the reservation. *Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m., so please keep noise to a minimum during these times. *Towels are available upon request with advance notice and for a linen fee of $8.

Area character: suburban residential streets, low-rise housing, some government and civic buildings in town, parks and walking trails countywide. Local conveniences (groceries, pharmacies, restaurants, banks) are clustered on the main corridors a few minutes’ drive; larger shopping and dining are found in nearby Largo, Bowie and Bowie/Route 301 corridors.

At Mariama House, you’ll have your own cozy room. Guests will share a bathroom. There is no kitchen access. The kitchen is off limits until its renovation is complete.

Public transit: Prince George’s County TheBus routes and regional bus services serve parts of Upper Marlboro; the nearest Washington Metro heavy-rail terminus is Largo Town Center (Blue/Orange Line) which provides rail access into Washington, D.C. Commuter rail (MARC Penn Line) and Amtrak services are available at stations such as Bowie State or New Carrollton within a 10–20 minute drive depending on traffic. Regional airports serving the area are Ronald Reagan Washington National (DCA), Baltimore/Washington International (BWI), and Washington Dulles (IAD). Rideshare, taxis and county call-a-ride/paratransit are widely used for first/last mile connections.
